Listed below are some of the problems that can occur during the production process of food tin or jar labeling and the solutions that Secomak can offer.
APPLICATION PROBLEM:
At the supermarket, consumers tend not to select jars or tins with ill-shaped labeling on the packaging. Therefore complete quality in product appearance is essential. The build up of moisture on containers prior to passing through labelling devices, can lead to a variety of presentation problems such as:
- Excess moisture returning to the glue pot causing foaming or dilution of glues. Therefore resulting in streaks of glue setting hard under the label in an unsightly manner.
- The dilution of glue causing the tack off to take longer. Therefore resulting in labels being pushed out of alignment in mass flow areas, especially if there is no label protection panel
- Miss-alignment or complete failure of the applicator head with pre-glued label applicators
- Water marks and droplets showing on the tin or jar labels through clear substrate materials.
