Listed below are some of the problems that can occur during the production process of retort cooking and pasteurising and the solutions that Secomak can offer.
APPLICATION PROBLEM:
Most retorts cookers and pasteurisers work on the basis of batch production methods.
Pouches, small foil containers and ready meal boxes are often presented
to the cooker in cages or stillages.

The ready meal pouches are then transferred on to automated packaging systems, often getting wet where moisture interferes with the downstream processes. The ready meal pouches need to be dry when entering a marking or a sleeve applicator so they can be inserted into cardboard sleeves correctly.
All such containers and especially food pouches can retain significant moisture which then is sealed inside the final packaging causing the cardboard boxes to degrade in storage.
