Listed below are some of the problems that can occur during the production process of bottle crown capping and the solutions that Secomak can offer.
APPLICATION PROBLEM:
Crown Capping problems arise from acidic salts & particles being retained as
dissolved salts in moisture build up that collects under the crown corks of bottles during the filling and pasteurising process. The negative effects of this produce a decayed build up at the cut edges and the damaged surfaces of the steel crown corks, resulting in:
- Discolouration of the crown cap
- A reduced shelf life
- Visible rusting
Crown capping problems are well documented as being large causes of customer complaints and returns.
